Winter is usually the time of year that most people hunker down and get cozy with a loved one, grab a cup of Hot Cocoa and wait for the big guy in red to arrive. Kelsey and Jeff are so in love with the magic of the season that they decided to tie the bow, and share the gift of their love with the important people in their lives. Nestled up in the mountains of New Hampshire, Kelsey and Jeff tied the knot at the magical Christmas Farm Inn and Spa in Jackson, NH.
We began our day with Kelsey as she got ready with her friends and immediate family. While her sister and mom got our little flower girl ready, Kelsey relaxed and enjoyed the final touches of her hair and make-up. The bridesmaids helped Kelsey get a little silly with some champagne and matching PJ’s before moving on to getting into a winter dress so pretty that would make Elsa envious! Once she was finally buttoned all the way up (sleeves included!), Kelsey’s dad joined her for his first look with her. With dad now sporting his boutonniere, Kelsey put on her final touches. From something borrow, something blue, we even added the 6 pence to her shoe, and she was ready for the big moment!
Jeff like most grooms was a little less glamorous and a little more fun times for his getting ready portion of the day. With the help of his father and best man, Jeff made quick work getting his wedding suit on. After a quick straightening of his tie; Jeff let mom fix his cufflinks perfectly, tucked the photos of his grandparents close to his heart, and enjoyed a quick cheers before going to meet his bride.
While the beautiful snow fell outside everyone gathered in front of the fireplace mantel to warm themselves up and prepare for the ceremony. Our groom Jeff watched patiently, as his parents, the groomsmen, bridesmaids, ring bearer & flower girl proceeded down the aisle. Try as he might, he couldn’t hold back the immediate tears as he saw the edge of Kelsey’s dress appear on the staircase she was descending. Truly nothing is better on a wedding day than seeing the overwhelming effect love has on the couple as they see each other for the first time. Kelsey beamed as she saw Jeff, and once they were hand in hand, they weren’t letting go. Before we knew it, they were already exchanging rings ready for their first kiss!
After the ceremony is when we get our time to shine, and conveniently for us, there is nothing quite so stunning as the White Mountains at wintertime. We were thrilled at the opportunity to feature them as the backdrop for Kelsey & Jeff’s wedding portraits. With all that said, the cherry on the top of this Christmas wonderland style wedding was getting to capture their final photos on the famous Honeymoon Bridge. Since 1936 lovers have come to this gorgeous red covered bridge to share a kiss under it for good luck; and with that extra touch of fresh snow, it made for a picturesque moment for Kelsey & Jeff’s wedding day!
Jeff in his big truck was kind enough to chauffeur his beautiful bride (and us) back to the reception just in time to take some family photos before kicking off the party. After being introduced as husband and wife, Kelsey and Jeff enjoyed their first dance together, then with Kelsey’s dad and Jeff’s mom. Laughter continued with speeches from the Best Man and Maid of Honor before guests danced the night away; we ended the evening in style with our signature night photo followed by one last cheers!
Congratulations again to Kelsey & Jeff!
Kelsey and Jeff really wanted to include ALL the important parts of their lived into their wedding day and that includes their fur baby! But how do you manage a pet on your wedding day?? We got you! While many people recommend having a friend or family member in charge of your pup (or other pets), we recommend hiring a professional. Ask your local boarding kennels or overnight pet sitters if they offer any wedding coverage! Many now offer the ability to have them care for your pet throughout the day, including bringing your pet to the ceremony & formal photo time, then bringing them home or to the overnight facility for the rest of the day! Your pet gets the love and attention they need, and you don’t have to worry about assigning a duty to one of your guests. It’s a win-win!
