We have been looking forward to this wedding since they moment they reached out. Right away we clicked as fellow Bob’s Burgers fans and as it turns out, a fellow wedding photographer! As we gathered the details of their day we were so impressed at how they made sure to plan a wedding that was truly their own with a focus on being comfortable, having plenty of time for family, and even celebrating their work family too!
As the rain switched between misting and pouring we arrived at the first location for the day, a stunning and incredibly well decorated home of close family Carol and Walter. They opened their doors to us as we started documenting all the hustle and bustle that starts a wedding. The girls got ready upstairs and Isabella surprised her sister Victoria with touching photographs and keepsakes from their mother Terre. Tears were shed and hugs were shared, the first of many for this emotionally charged day. Victoria followed that with a first look with her father and grandfather who could not have looked more proud.
We gathered everyone we could into the sunroom for the ceremony. David saw his bride for the first time and right away brought his hand up to his heart. Dad walked Victoria down the aisle and gave Victoria a hug and a kiss as he gave David her hand. They exchanged vows and rings with their best man and woman at their sides, and with a big kiss they were married!
We whisked through photos with family (even managing to get one with everyone in attendance!) and sent them all off to the reception. David & Victoria didn’t seem to mind a little rain as we headed outside for their photos together, laughing and playing along with each pose. We even took them by surprise for a moment with a little change of perspective that required Becky to lie in the wet pavement, but that’s what we do for a good photo! And while we got lots of fun photos, the reception was where the real magic was going to happen.
The Beacon Restaurant and Bar was not only our venue, but also where Victoria works! You could tell that there was a little extra love in the air as her coworkers got to celebrate and serve dinner simultaneously.
With much eating, drinking, and making merry, everyone was excited to catch up with loved ones, and toast to those who were no longer with us. The dance floor got so much action that we moved a table to expand it!
What we were most excited for however, you can see in our opening and closing photos. It’s not every wedding you get a whole movie theater to yourself! Victoria & David indulged me as I excited set up a couple different poses (I couldn’t include ALL of them in the previews though, more to come!). We got the fun of watching The Birdcage while also getting some of my favorite photos ever finishing with one final photo outside for one final shot in front of the marquee sign where the rain met us in buckets!
All in all, it was a fantastically fun, loving, and very very Victoria & David day, congratulations again!!
