Kyle & David’s wedding was something to remember for sure! From their coastal New England decorations, to their very dapper looking pup, their wedding day looked perfect from beginning to end.
We started the day with Kyle & David putting on their final touches with their parents and siblings. It’s always a treat to get to see mom’s in their element on a wedding day fixing ties and boutonnieres. In a very funny serendipitous moment the day before, Kyle & David’s parents also very kindly surprised them with a beautiful stack of custom cutting boards as a gift to each of the guests attending the wedding. The parents were then also surprised when opening their wedding day gifts from Kyle & David, to see beautiful custom cutting boards specially made just for them too! Laughs were shared, and hugs were had as everyone shared a toast and giggled about the gifts.
In the crisp early spring air we captured all their family formals and then got into position to document Kyle’s turn for a surprise. David had the cake artist make a special addition to their wedding cake… Rigby! Rigby is their dashing looking little dog who has his own cameo on the wedding cake, complete with a small bite taken out!
With beautiful blue skies overhead and Irish music playing in the distance (as this was St. Patrick’s Day in Scituate), we headed off to the ceremony. All the important members of the family, even Rigby, got to walk down the aisle. Kyle & David capped off their ceremony with a sand ceremony in their wedding colors of green and blue, and with a kiss they were hitched!
We whisked them off to the Scituate Lighthouse only a short drive down the road, and were greeted with a perfect backdrop for any wedding completely to ourselves! (Thank goodness the parade had ended!) David & Kyle were great models and really trusted the process for us to capture their portraits and we ended up with some of our favorite photos of the Scituate Lighthouse!
All the guests were ready to greet our couple upon their return and got quite the entrance! Our first cold sparks entrance from a couple, and it was something to see! With speeches from dads, and dancing with moms, we even got to have a cheeky good spirited cake smash before getting our groove fully on throughout the rest of the evening. With a final kiss at sunset we were done with our time, after a beautiful day of surprises, style, and scituate landmarks.
Congratulations Kyle & David!
