Wedding Day Tips

Child-Full or Child-Free wedding? Today let’s talk about the benefits of a Child-FULL wedding! These little ankle-biters are the lights of your life and an extremely important part of your joining families so OF COURSE they should be a part of the big day! Here’s some tips to make it fun for everyone!

• Get your family photos with the kids done before the ceremony even begins! The kids are only going to keep their suits and dresses clean for so long; and lets be honest, there’s a time limit to their patience with anything really. So set them up for success by starting their day with the hard part, so that the rest is just having fun with their family!
• Make them feel included! There are lots of fun important jobs for the little ones: Flower girls, ring bearers, we’ve even seen a tiny best man! Being included is important to connecting as a family and they will be so excited, when they look back on these photos some day, that they were just as important as any other adult family member.
• Party Time turns into Bed Time! Kids need their rest as much as adults need their freedom sometimes. Make sure the kids have lots of fun during the reception as the dance floor opens, then an hour later, have a babysitter come to take them up to their rooms for rest. Once you know your littles got to have fun and be a part of your day, they will end the night with a big ole hug for you two. Then you can send them off and have a little fun with the adults in your life as well, and maybe even get a little wild!
