Wedding Day Tips

Don’t ask your photographer and/or videographer if they’ve been to your venue before, ask your photographer if they can provide you a catalog of a whole wedding day instead! Venues vary in numerous ways, from their garden area, to their reception space, to just how they organize their cocktail hour. There are infinite options out there and your photo/video team has likely been to many of them, but not likely to have been to ALL of them. It’s not as important as you may think! You’re hiring your photo/video team for their wealth of experience and how well you trust them to do the job. Part of that experience is that we can think on our feet and be inspired by our surroundings! So it doesn’t really make a difference if your photo/video team has been to a specific venue before. Instead, you’re much better off asking your photo/video team for an example of an entire wedding catalog. That catalog will provide you with an idea of what the standard moments of the day look like, not just the perfectly curated ones!
