Kirsten and Jake are one of the sweetest couples we’ve ever had the privilege of working with. From the moment we met them, it was clear that their love for each other was matched only by the love they shared with their incredible families. Their wedding day was a true reflection of that, with so many personal touches and meaningful moments that made it unforgettable. A big highlight of the day was their reception, which took place in a beautiful backyard space that had been lovingly transformed by Kirsten and Jake’s family. The outbuilding had been renovated to create a stunning dance floor, and the tent for dinner was draped with lush greenery, offering a warm and elegant atmosphere for the celebration.
The day started with capturing all the thoughtful details, from the stunning decor to Kirsten’s dress. After a little fun with the groomsmen (who, of course, had to bully Jake a little as brother’s do), it was time for the first look. As Kirsten approached Jake, the emotion was palpable. Both of them immediately had tears in their eyes, overwhelmed by the beauty of the moment. It was an intimate and heartfelt moment before the festivities really kicked off, and it set the tone for the rest of the day.
From there, we boarded a party bus and made our way to Colt State Park’s Chapel by the Sea for a touching ceremony. Surrounded by their loved ones, Kirsten and Jake exchanged vows in a ceremony that was as beautiful as it was emotional. After the “I do’s,” we had a blast taking some fun and raucous photos with family and friends. One of the highlights of the group shots? Throwing Jake in the air, of course! The energy and laughter were contagious, and everyone embraced the joyful spirit of the day.
Once we made our way to the reception, things got even more lively. The wedding party made their entrance in the most epic way, performing a fusion dance from Dragon Ball Z. It was a hilarious and totally unique moment that had everyone in the crowd laughing and cheering. From there, the night was a whirlwind of dancing, laughing, and celebrating as the couple and their guests enjoyed every minute of the evening.
The night came to a close with an unforgettable champagne spray. The celebration was a perfect mix of love, family, and fun, and it’s one that we’ll never forget. Kirsten and Jake’s wedding was a reflection of who they are—kind, joyful, and full of heart. It was an honor to document such a special day, and we wish them a lifetime of happiness and laughter together!
Choose what’s most important to you when budgeting your wedding. For these two, having as many family and friends was the most important thing so they saved by utilizing family space as their venue!
