I had the pleasure of meeting Catriona and Andy through a fellow photographer, who, as it turns out, was also Catriona’s sister and maid of honor. From the beginning, I could tell this wedding would be a special one. The day kicked off with a fun, vibrant moment as Catriona and her bridesmaids gathered to celebrate with confetti poppers before getting dressed. It was a perfect way to bring energy and excitement to the start of the day, setting the tone for the festivities ahead.
Despite the rain and wind, we were lucky enough to catch a brief break in the weather, allowing us to quickly run outside for some stunning photos. After making the most of the calm, we headed back to the beautiful bridal suite to capture some formal family portraits. Catriona and Andy’s ceremony took place at their church, surrounded by loved ones, creating an intimate and heartfelt atmosphere. Later in the evening, the best man and maid of honor delivered their speeches, filling the room with laughter and warmth as they shared personal stories about the couple.
To end the night, Catriona and Andy shared a private last dance, offering them a quiet moment to reflect on the day’s joy. It was the perfect, intimate way to close out a wedding that was filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories, leaving everyone with a heart full of happiness and a day to remember.
Private last dances are the hottest trend that we’ve seen this year! Grab your new husband/wife and share a dance together in the now empty room where your wedding days joys were just held. Maybe even spice it up with some cold sparks or fog machines!
