Their Wedding Story

Continuing in our series of amazing days as a second shooter for another photographer, I’d like to introduce you to the incomparable 309 Weddings. 309 Weddings is a fabulous group that we works with as much as possible in our available days because they are just awesome people who make beautiful images! Morgan & Erik were just as happy as we were to work together for their amazing weddings day!

The day began at Erik’s rental by Salisbury Beach with all the guys getting ready (pre-gaming) for this gorgeous wedding day. All of them were in high spirits as they finished up, leading to them breaking out into “I Want It That Way” by Backstret Boys as they walked up the road to meet the girls. Truly a memorable moment from the day.

Morgan had dreamed about how beautiful her ceremony would be outdoors on her family’s front yard with a custom floral arch behind her. As the skies opened up to rain she was determined to keep her vision, so she got to do something that very few brides get to do, change the schedule! Instead of moving the party indoors to the tent, we opened up the bar and let the guests have a cocktail hour to get the party started! After about an hour we were back in clear skies and dry seats for a perfect stunning ceremony. It was a perfect win-win opportunity to make all the guests happy and keep Morgan & Erik’s wedding vision!

After the ceremony we captured these two with their loved ones quickly and casually so that we could get them right to the fun part of the night, the party! It was a stunning sight to behold as decorated all around the clear tents were one of the most beautiful flower decorations we’ve ever seen! Flowers hung from every wall, making the reception space look like the most fabulous garden tea party we could imagine. Dinner was even more fun with everyone lining up for the Salt + Lime Food Truck, serving a really delectable variety of special tex-mex foods. Guests could also get a custom engraved champagne flute to take home with them from their custom glass engraver hired just for this day! With speeches and formalitites done, Morgan & Erik spent the rest of the night getting absolutely lit with their loved ones. A truly perfect day.

Wedding Day Tips

Your house, your rules! Wedding days on family or personal property means that you are the one in charge! If you wanna move the ceremony time so that the sky clears up? You can do that! There’s a lot more responsibility but a lot more flexibility to have a wedding at your own home.
