Wedding Day Tips

To hire a second photographer? Or not to hire a second photographer? THAT is the question… Or at least that’s a question we often hear: and the answer? Honestly it depends! What does a second shooter bring to the table:

• A Different Perspective – You hired your main photographer because you like how they take photos and tell the story of wedding days. Having a second photographer gives you a different point of view of the photos of your wedding that can enhance the lead photographer’s work or even just give you a whole new point of view!
• Saves Time – Sometimes you have a BIG list of photos to get through and having a second photographer means you can divide and conquer that list! Let your second photographer get photos of the decorations and your reception space while your lead photographer captures your family portraits!
• They see what you don’t – Your lead photographer will be by your side essentially your whole wedding day, but what about the part of your wedding YOU don’t see? When you get ready separately, there’s a photographer for each of you. When you’re taking family portraits, the second photographer is capturing your guests photos. When you are taking sunset portraits, your second photographer is sticking with your grandma who decided to start dancing while you were gone!

So it’s up to you really! Is your wedding day designed differently that you don’t have to worry about the problems a second photographer and solve? Is it not in the budget? Is your wedding made up up a close knit group instead of a big party? Then you may not need a second photographer! We are here to talk through your wedding day to find what suits your wedding day best!
