We were all dressed in our Sunday best with a perfect blue sky and the sun shining as we gathered at Mattapoisett Congregational Church. Right away you knew a beautiful wedding was going to take place from the gorgeous floral decorations wrapping the handrail as you entered the church. This was the first wedding the church has seen in seven years, and you could feel the excitement in the air as guests started filing in. This church was unique, with no center aisle, every seat was the best seat in the house, even the balcony!
Alexander was beaming as he entered the church ready to await his bride. We were given a real show by the bubble girls as they took a couple extra laps for the crowd’s enjoyment! Cassandra entered side by side with her father, looking stunning and chic and she walked down the aisle. Both of Alex’s sisters gave a beautiful reading, and with rings exchanged, Cassie & Alex shared their first kiss with everyone cheering along! The fun continued outside where all the guests gathered for a big exit complete with our signature bubble girls working those bubble guns!!
After spending time being congratulated by their loved ones, Cassie & Alex whisked off to Ned’s Point Lighthouse for the perfect backdrop for their New England wedding portraits. We immediately popped some champagne to cerebrate, making a little mess, and a LOT of fun photos! They were perfect models and in no time we had them heading off to their reception to get the party started!
Shining Tides Weddings in Mattapoisett is a perfect venue with it’s own dock and small beach with a gorgeous open air space that looks right out to the water. The brother of the bride immediately kicked off the festivities with one of the best introductions we’ve ever heard in the form of a wrestling introduction!
With their first dance done and family photos finished, he continued crushing his job as emcee with each speech introduction and parent dances. Finally we got to open the dance floor to the party people and WOW did they know how to party! We’ve never seen any wedding burst into full energy dance party so quickly with some of the best moves out there.
We managed to pull Alex & Cassie away one final time for our signature night photo with their wedding colors, and with a blink, our day with them was over. As we drove away you could still hear the music blasting, in what we know was one of the most fun and perfect wedding days anyone could ask for.
Congratulations again to the new Mr. & Mrs.! We wish Cassie & Alex nothing but the best for years to come!
